Le Corbusier makes Architectural Photography easy

As with all good designers, Le Corbusier made the task of the Architectural and Interiors Photographer  so much easier.

I recently had the opportunity to photograph one of Le Corbusier’s early Purist houses, Le Roche in Paris and I was reminded again how much easier my task is made by good design. This is because a major role of photography is to bring a level of visual order to a view. This is made so much easier when a setting is well thought through with the relationship of form shape and texture already carefully considered.

Drawing out the interesting curves, proportions and defining features of an Architect’s original vision goes to the very heart of the architectural photographer’s craft. It is what makes it such a pleasure.
